Front view of cottage

Cerrig Glan is a beautifully renovated farmhouse situated on the north western edge of Llanrhidian, a spectacular coastal location on the Gower Peninsula. This charming area of South Wales provides a stunning setting in which to escape and explore all the history, folklore and legend on offer with the relaxing retreat of the cottage ideally located within close proximity of all local attractions.

With the region designated as an 'Area of Outstanding Beauty' the property boasts an awe-inspiring natural backdrop of hills, valleys, beaches, clifftops, woodland and caves along with some of the richest wildlife and varied habitats in the UK. In particular, Gower is noted for its extensively sandy beaches with the three mile long stretch of perfect sands at Llangennith and the less populated yet equally spectacular beaches of nearby Whiteford Sands and Broughton Bay.

The Cottage

Cerrig Glan was purchased by the previous owners as a ruin in 1990. The renovation project took seven years to complete, efforts that resulted in an award from Swansea City Council in recognition of the high standards of construction and workmanship achieved. The original local stone has been used throughout and exposed oak eaves and beams create a an attractive environment allowing a lot of natural light into the property. A south facing full height window in the sitting room offers a spectacular view across to Llanrhidian and Whitford Sands.

A renovated barn is situated opposite the farmhouse containing a games room to keep all the family entertained.
